Galvanized Steel Shovel/Scoop Style Anchor with Roll Bar

The Shovel/Scoop anchor is designed for maximum holding power.  The roll bar ensures that the anchor is always ready to self set.  The anchor is constructed of high-grade steel for maximum tensile strength.  This is the best holding anchor we have ever tried.

Style: Shovel/Scoop with Roll Bar

Material: galvanized steel

Application: All bottoms

Pros: Strong, one-piece construction. Concave fluke gives the ultimate resistance in all seabeds for deep penetration. Self-launching design makes it ideal for windlasses.

Attachement points for retrieval buys and tandem anchors making this Shovel anchor the ultimate versitle anchor.

I tested the 13lb version of this anchor in mud/clay with a 48 foot sailboat pictured in the last picture.  We applied 3000 rpms (full) of a 75 hp engine in reverse with a three blade max prop.  The anchor dug in rock solid, and we did not drag a bit.  This anchor just digs.  To illustrate what that means, the proper anchor for that boat would be a 25 kg or 33 kg, and this was a 6 kg.  So, basically, for a storm to drag that 48 ft boat with that 6 kg anchor, it would have to be so severe that the boat would not be able to make headway with the engine at all.   I was very impressed.

Includes 2 "eyes" for buoyed retrieval lines and one "eye" for tandem anchor applications.

    Looks great, good quality

I'm impressed. Quality seems to be top notch and much cheaper than a name brand product that looks exactly like it. Time will tell, but from what I see now, I'm sure it will give me many years of trouble free service

Like these anchors so much I bought the smallest one (9 pounds) as well for my McKee run about (14 foot) to use while fishing.

Bought the 22 pounder on eBay. Already have the 35 but its a little big for every day use on my Catalina 30 and does not fit my bow very well. This one fits just right and seems to be every bit as good as Rocna it is based on.
